Portrait of a Graduate

"I had the experience of becoming rooted in the curiosity of learning, and not just focused on grades. My [high school] peers are so focused on comparison of grades, they never talk about the learning or content– but I’m grounded in the values of learning and can feel confident in my own progress."

"Peninsula School really prepared me for tests and homework. I was really well prepared with the knowledge– I don’t know why I was worried (I think someone told me to be worried). I went straight to advanced math and science classes– and I’ve done really well."

A Portrait of a Graduate is a school’s unique collective vision of a set of skills, practices, and understandings for children as they learn and grow.

Peninsula's Portrait is guided by and aligns with the school's strategic plan, vision, mission, values, and educational principles.

Through months of work brainstorming, gathering feedback from staff, students, and recent alumni, our Programmatic Team developed 6 key aspects that define the Portrait of a Peninsula School Graduate.
