Step One: If you are interested in sending your child to Peninsula, the first required step is to visit the school, observe classes, and meet by appointment with the Admissions Director.
Step Two: Complete an application. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee. Applications are accepted year-round for nursery through 8th grade. See Important Admissions Dates below.
Step Three: For children whose applications are received by January 21, 2020, there will be group visits with teachers. For nursery applicants, the visit will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2020. For kindergarten applicants, the visit will take place on Saturday, February 8. The Admissions Director will contact parents to set up this appointment.
Primary and Upper School Levels:
Class visits begin in February. The Admissions Director will contact parents to set up this visit.
Step Four: Parents of children selected thus far in the enrollment process then meet with the Admissions Director for a final interview to discuss mutual expectations and goals. It is only after this conference that a final decision is made.
“The world is mud-luscious and puddle-wonderful.”
Decisions are mailed out March 20, 2020.
For children placed in a waiting pool, there may be additional openings between April and June as returning and new families make final contractual commitments for the following year. Occasionally some openings occur during the summer and in early September.
Applications received by January 21, 2020 are the first group of applicants to be considered for fall admission. Applications received by this date are given equal consideration.
Applications received on or after January 21, 2020 will be considered secondarily to those received by January 21, 2020.
Applications for siblings of current students and for children of staff must be received by January 7, 2020.
