Enrichment Program

We are excited to present our new Peninsula School Enrichment Program for 2024-25! This playful endeavor includes different options, ranging from arts and crafts to science, and sports. Offerings will change each session. We look forward to engaging with you and your children who are currently enrolled in Peninsula School in this fun after-school environment!

Participants have the option to choose between an Enrichment Class on its own, or an Enrichment Class plus Childcare combo. Each Enrichment Class meets once a week, and all materials are included.

Enrichment Sessions:

Peninsula School will offer three enrichment sessions in the 2024-2025 school year.

Session 1: Sep 9th - Nov 22

Session 2: Dec 2nd - Feb 14th

Session 3: Feb 24th - May 2nd

Weaving

There are more things in the Weaving Room than even a seasoned Activities-goer might know about. In this pilot class, we will be doing a variety of projects in the Weaving Room. Knit a hat? A sock? Maybe learn how to weave tapestry or perhaps dye a warp? There is an array of special projects that we will explore together. An emergent curriculum as the ages of students, interest, and desires become known.

Ages: Pine, Redwood, 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade

When: 3:00-4:15, Wednesdays

Dates: Every Wednesday from 9/11 to 11/20

Japanese Culture

In this fun, interactive class, students will learn to write their names in Japanese, learn a few Japanese songs, and of course, learn to create some Origami. They will try some Japanese treats and learn to make sushi.

Maximum number of students: 10

Ages: Rainbowland, Sunshine, Oak, & Pine

When: Mondays from 3:00 pm-4:15 pm

Dates: Every Monday from 9/9 to 11/18 (no class on 11/11)

Where: Multipurpose room (Spanish/Math room)

Cost: Enrichment only (4:15 pick-up): $266/session (includes materials)

Cost: Enrichment/Childcare (5:30 pick-up): $423/session (includes materials)

Billing & Refunds

Session Info

There will be three sessions throughout the school year. There will be a maximum number of students per class. Register for the enrichment class only, or the enrichment class plus childcare combo.

Classes start at 3:00 pm and finish at 4:15 pm. Our teachers will offer fresh fruits and veggies at the beginning of the class. Feel free to pack extra snacks for your child as well.

Pick-up will take place on the front porch of the big building from 4:15-4:20 pm. If not picked up by 4:20 pm, your child will be signed into our regular Childcare Program at the drop-in rate.

Please note: There will be no Enrichment Programs on holidays, in-service days, minimum days, or half days. Class dates are listed for each class below.

Billing & Refunds

Billing: Billing will occur through Curacubby before the start of each session and invoices are payable upon receipt. Invoices must be paid before the first session in order for the student to attend.

Refunds: We do not provide refunds for missed classes. Participants who need to cancel will receive a 100% refund if they cancel over seven (7) days before the start of the session. Within 7 days of the start of session, no refunds will be issued unless the course is cancelled. There will be no refunds for missed classes.
