We will strengthen pre-8th curriculum continuity and consistency, prepare students for a STEAM future, explore middle school athletic opportunities, and pursue CAIS accreditation, as a potential driver to showcase the uniqueness of Peninsula school.

Strengthening pre-8th curriculum continuity and consistency will provide numerous benefits to include added visibility for families while ensuring that children are building upon their knowledge each year, both academically and socially and emotionally, with the opportunity for multiple-year, project based learning. Offering more STEAM classes will provide Peninsula School students the opportunity to explore their interests or find new ones, preparing them for the future and deepening their learning through hands-on creativity and problem-solving skills. Exploring middle school athletic opportunities will create more opportunities for current and incoming children to explore their interests and further develop themselves while fostering teamwork and community connection and building leadership skills. Furthermore, pursuing CAIS accreditation will help the school define a roadmap for the future while encouraging continuous self-reflection, providing opportunities for teacher development, increased confidence amongst current and future families and trust building within the community. Collectively, these efforts ensure our program remains relevant while honoring its mission and unique pedagogy.

We will ensure competitive compensation for all staff, strengthen the staff with experience with an emphasis on onboarding, professional growth and retention, and build a sustainable support and evaluation system for all staff.

Ensuring competitive compensation is crucial for attracting and retaining the highest quality staff, which maintains teacher excellence. Strengthening the staff experience at Peninsula School through focused onboarding, growth, and retention will ensure that a corpus of exceptional educators remain deeply committed to the school's unique child-led pedagogy and progressive values. Finally, building a sustainable support and evaluation system will enable our teachers to adopt new methods and pursue professional development, be guided by a set of structured expectations, and directly model lifelong learning, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and deeper learning within the student body. Collectively, these three efforts will create a stable, inspired, and highly capable faculty, ensuring the enduring quality of our progressive program for all students.

These efforts, combined with a commitment to preserving a community of respect, values, and norms, will ensure that our school's unique pedagogy is delivered by a cohesive and principled community, instilling in students the social responsibility and critical consciousness necessary to become engaged citizens in a diverse world. These three points are inherently linked as they work together to ensure Peninsula School's progressive values are lived out daily by the entire community—staff, parents, Board, and students.
 

We will address and fund deferred maintenance responsibly, and complete the Eastside Project with the support of a Capital Campaign.

Responsibly addressing and funding deferred maintenance will ensure the Peninsula School’s existing facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained, providing a stable, inspiring setting essential for student-centered, experiential learning. Simultaneously, completing the Eastside Project with Capital Campaign support will allow the school to modernize and expand its physical campus. This strategic investment will provide updated, flexible spaces that are vital for accommodating a modern progressive curriculum, particularly in areas that require hands-on exploration and collaboration. Together, these actions will secure the physical foundation of the school, ensuring the infrastructure is capable of supporting the unique, engaging, and dynamic educational experience at the heart of the progressive model at Peninsula School.
 

We will elevate our messaging to attract mission aligned families. analyze and align additional marketing spend with impact. and develop a crisp, synthesized communication strategy, that tells our story well.
