| What is SO SPECIAL about Peninsula School's Spring Fair?
Its the FOOD! First and foremost we have absolutely fabulous homemade dishes from India, Asia, Greece, Mexico, and Persia, and beautiful burgers for those with more classic american tastes and of course kid foods for our more finicky offspring to enjoy. Then there's DESSERTS: from the perennial favorite strawberry shortcake to wonderful pies featured in our PIE CONTEST, to an absolutely enormous assortment of cookies and cakes and every other kind of sweet imaginable, there is something for every sweet tooth! Plan to take some home!
It's the CRAFTS! Grab some friends and while you enjoy the spring day together, make prayer arrows, buttons, badges, wood sculpture, dream catchers, toy mashups, painted flower plant pots or get your face painted or your hands decorated in henna designs. Little kids have their own craft area where they can make flags, tissue paper flowers, picture frames, butterflies, hats, and more. Whatever your creative interests, there's a craft for you to enjoy.
It's the MUSIC! First, our amazing and talented children will officially launch the entertainment section of the Fair with a program of choral and instrumental pieces they have collaborated on with our music teachers Tina Anderson and John Fuller. For the remainder of the fair we have an exciting entertainment program that is bound to please.
It's all the EXTRAS! If eating great food, listening to incredible music, or making crafts isn't enough to occupy you, you can take a zipline trip down the Tyrolean Traverse, or practice handholds on our Rock-climbing wall. You could also participate in one of our community sculpture or tree loom weaving projects. Or pet some farm animals, play some great "New Games" with other fairgoers. You could peruse a huge assortment of used books for sale CHEAP, study our beautiful event tee-shirts and totebags for the style you want to buy (remember this is a fund raiser!), or even get a relaxing shoulder or foot massage from one of our professional body workers! Or you could simply sit back and watch other fairgoers enjoy themselves and soak it all in. It's a wonderful way to spend a day with your family and friends, so please join us!
