Parent involvment is one of the founding principles of
education at Peninsula School. Did you know that Peninsula school
was founded as a "parent-teacher cooperative"? We need
every parent to volunteer and get involved.
It makes a difference in more ways than you think!
What are the expectations of Parent Involvement
at Peninsula School?
Every parent gets involved.
Every Parent:
- Gives what they consider a valuable and
significant contribution of their time each year — a commitment
they can definitely uphold
- Considers their own time commitments and chooses their involvement
so it works with other commitments
- Helps in some way with all three major parent events (Craft
Fair, Auction and Spring Fair)
- Takes on the management or leadership of one parent event, activity
or program they feel strongly about during their tenure at Peninsula
School
- Joins in to manage, coordinate, facilitate and develop the participation
levels of new parents coming into the community
- Supports every coordinator-knowing the tables might be turned
the next time around
If you haven't filled out the
volunteer interest form, please download it and drop it off at
the main office at school. Consult the work
job glossary to learn more about what each job entails before
you sign up. Volunteering
