Special Campaigns and Capital Improvement
Contribute to specific innovative projects at the school and address needs which fall beyond the scope of Peninsula’s annual operating budget.
From time to time, Peninsula embarks upon specialized campaigns,
designed to sustain and further our mission of educating children in
an inspiring, joy-filled learning environment. Most recently, the
school successfully completed Peninsula Partners for the Future (PPF)
in June, 2008. Through this campaign we raised nearly $450,000 to support
special projects throughout the school, which otherwise could not have
been funded through our regular operating budget. Thanks to the generosity
of our donors we were able to:
- Add laptop computers & other technology tools to the upper school
- Renovate the math room
- Expand the science program
- Complete Phase I of the auditorium renovation
- Research improvements to the driveway
- Implement several energy retrofitting projects
- Create a special fund to support successful teacher transitions, as
many long-time teachers prepare to retire.
